Getting Started
How do I receive my account information?
Once your Greater Giving Online Payments account is activated, we’ll send you log in instructions via email. If you have misplaced your account access information, please contact Greater Giving Support to obtain a new one.
How do I add additional users to my account?
Go to Administration, then Add/Edit users, then click the All button.
What is the best way to encourage donors to visit our donation pages?
The best way to increase online donor activity it to creatively inform your supporters. On your homepage, as well as throughout your site, prominently display a Donate Now or Give Now button/link. Ensure the page opens in a new window so that donors can continue to read information about your site, but still simply switch windows to easily make an online contribution or purchase. Many organizations include a Donate Now button on every page of their web site. To encourage donors to visit your web site to make a donation, include the link in all of your donor and prospect materials: brochures, correspondence, campaign mailings, etc.
What is a Virtual Terminal and how do I use it?
A Virtual Terminal is an online credit card processing page for your organization’s internal use. The Virtual Terminal is used for year-round credit card transactions that can be processed online by you and your staff. To use the Virtual Terminal, simply go to the Virtual Terminal link; enter the donor and transaction amount to process the transaction. The link to your organization’s live Virtual Terminal link is included in the initial testing email we send to you. All transaction details processed using the Virtual Terminal will be reflected in online reports and will be included in weekly deposit statements.
How do I get a Virtual Terminal?
A Virtual Terminal is included at no additional charge with Greater Giving Online Payments and is located in the Administration section.

How do I submit a refund request?
You can find all your financial resources including an online form for processing refunds at our Accounting Support section of our website.
How do I access online reporting?

Why do my reports not match my deposit statement?

Technical Items
Why do I have a red outline box around my logo/header?
The Media Module will need to be deleted and added back to the page.
When I look at my page why does it come up blank?
The page view permissions are not set to All Users. Go to Settings for that page and check the box for All Users under the View column.
When I look at my page why does it still shows all the edits?
To view the page as a regular user you need to copy the URL link and click on the logout button on your account, then paste the link in a new browser. The reason you are still seeing the page in edit mode is because you have not logged out of your account and the system thinks you intended to view the page in an edit mode.
Why am I getting a security certificate message on my page?
You will need to check the URL that is posted to your website to make sure that there is no “www.” text in the URL.
Why is the page displaying as “unavailable”?
You will need to check to make sure the URL does not contain any extra characters after .aspx, and that it is the full URL link.
Why can’t we open our pages in a frame?
Running pages inside a web frame (or iframe) mixes insecure and secure elements. This may jeopardize the security of the payment processing channel created by Greater Giving Online Payments. Additionally, Greater Giving’s security certificate is specifically linked to our domain name, and will not register properly on client page(s) if a donor is viewing your root frame. Ensuring that all transactions are 100% secure requires Greater Giving Online Payments pages to open in a new window, completely separate from your web site.
Which web browser should I use?
Greater Giving Online Payments is designed to work on the majority of mainstream systems and web browsers. Greater Giving recommends Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above for Windows, Netscape 7.2 for Windows or Macintosh, and Mozilla Firefox 1.0.1 on Windows or Macintosh. All of these browsers are free to download from their respective web sites. An inclusive list can also be located by clicking on the Features tab of our Online Payments Support section.
