Data Entry
How do I remove supporter records from the supporter grid?
Keep in mind that the supporter grid shows all of your contacts from all events. Do not delete supporter records if they are not attending your event. Simply just do not add them as a bidder, donor or staff for that event. That way, if they attend any subsequent event, you won't have to add them again and you will still have all of their participation history from previous events. You can narrow down the results of the supporter grid to view only bidders, for example, for that auction by clicking on the advanced query option.
Can I make modifications to my data on the PC Edition as well as in the Greater Giving Event Software Online Edition?
It is highly recommended that you finish all of your work in the Greater Giving Event Software Online Edition before you download to the PC Edition and that you do not edit in the PC Edition and the Online Edition concurrently. Once the event is downloaded to the PC, make all edits there, take it to the event, complete the recording of the event results and then upload the event to Event Software Online.
When I make changes on my event website why don’t I see the changes?
When you make changes to the style of the published event website (i.e. change colors) or you add or modify the image used on the published event website, it might take up to 10 minutes before those changes are actually visible on the pages.
I have found many duplicate supporter records. How do I de-dupe them?
Currently there are two main methods of de-duping your supporter records. You can merge two supporters if you are working from the supporter grid and wish to combine data from two records. You can also utilize our de-duping utility that will scan the database for potential duplicates and allow you to merge them. For step-by-step instructions refer to the online help guide.

What data can I export from my Greater Giving Event Software Online Edition?
Data can be exported from the following areas of the Greater Giving Event Software Online Edition: Items, Item Types, Supporters and Packages. To export data, first navigate to one of the grids mentioned above. If you want to export only certain items in a grid, either check only those records or use an advanced query to limit the number of records that appear on the grid. Next, click Export. Choose whether you want your file to export to .csv or .xls format. Note: Either format can be opened using the Microsoft Excel product. Once you have chosen a desired format, click Next. Save your file. When you are done, click Okay. Note: Currently all fields will be exported for each of the grids.

Syncing with the Greater Giving Event Software PC Edition
When trying to sync with online web project I am receiving an error?
This could mean many things. 1. Make sure you are connected to the internet. 2. Are you using wireless (this could disable the sync process)? 3. Are you the software admin and have the admin codes? 4. It’s important that the file is in the right format: "Auctionpay-XXX.adb2". If it's not an .adb2 file you will need to rename your file. If none of these work, please contact Greater Giving Support.

Auction Night
Can I use the Greater Giving Event Software Online Edition at my event?
It is recommended that sales and payments are generally recorded using the PC Edition of the product and then syncing the information back to the web. No, you are unable to synchronize your Auctionpay terminals with the Greater Giving Event Software Online Edition. All syncing needs to be completed on the PC Edition.
